ATR Indicator with Tick Charts on NT7

    Hello,

I tried adding the NT7 default ATR indicator onto three of my Tick charts, but I just get a flat line at the bottom of the volume bars.

See the flat red line in the screenshot attached.

I tried using a 14 period setting, a 7 period setting and even a 3 period setting, but the ATR line remained flat for each one.

I over-layed the ATR onto the Volume Up/Down indicator that I have on my Tick charts, but that has always worked for me in the past, with minute based charts.

Is there a way to get the ATR indicator to work with Tick charts in NT7?

    Hello i2w8am9ii2,

    Thank you for your post.

Glad to assist. Who are you connected to? This is displayed in green on lower left corner of the Control Center window.

What instrument (and expiry if applicable) have you selected?

How many Days to Load are in use? To check, right click on the chart > Data Series > Days to Load.

We look forward to assisting further.

      Hi Eric,

I am connected using Continuum. I was using the ES 06-18

I had 1 day loaded for one chart, 2 days loaded for the other chart and 3 days loaded for the third chart.

        Hello,

        Thank you for that information.

Currently, the ATR and the Vol up down are in the same panel with the same justification, and so the ATR's value which is far lower than the Vol up down value is plotted looking like a straight line.

Right click the indicator, select Indicators, select the configured ATR, and in its properties, change the scale justification to left. This will untether it from the Vol up down scale and plot its values on the left side instead.

          Thanks Marco,

          That did the trick.

There is just one thing, it created a numbered column on the left side which takes up too much space from my chart.

          Screenshot attached.

Is there a way to get rid of the numbered column that was created when I chose 'Left justified'?

            Hello,

            Thank you for your reply.

That would be the scale following the ART value- if you do no want this, you could change the ATR scale justification to Overlay, instead.
