Google not listed as a connection

    Hello,

First of all apologise if I'm asking a silly question but I'm just starting with NinjaTrader and everything is new for me. I have installed it in my desktop and my laptop, but although in my desktop Google is listed as a connection in the dropdown list (connections - configure) , for my laptop it is not shown.

Is it because of the account type? or should I have to configure it manually?, it is extrange to me that in one I can use it and in the other computer I can't.

    Thanks,
    Mariano

    Hello Mariano1991,

    Thank you for your post.

This is likely because the desktop is not using the latest version of NT8.

Unfortunately, Google has discontinued the service that NinjaTrader used to obtain data and should no longer show as an option.

To upgrade NinjaTrader, please follow the steps below.
    • First, copy your license key from NinjaTrader under Help> License Key then exit NinjaTrader
    • Click on the link: http://ninjatrader.com/PlatformDirect
    • Enter your license key and press Submit
    • Select 'NinjaTrader 8'
    • Select 'Download'
    • Critical: Before running the installer, ensure NinjaTrader is closed.

Please feel free to write in with any additional NinjaTrader items we may assist with.

Thank you for the quick response.

I would like to have the tickers of all the Argentinian 's ADRs, if I use ameritrade, how can I get them? I have already configured the conection for ameritrade with my user and password but had no luck getting the data of those stocks.

      Thanks again!

                Hello ElMagoR,

                Thank you for your post.

Glad to assist. Unfortunately, there is currently a known issue with the Yahoo and Google APIs that NinjaTrader uses that is interfering with receiving data. At this time, the feed is discontinued and support has been removed.

Let us know if we may assist further.
