Hi There,
Does anyone have an idea if and HMA simple stratgey in forex work?
where go long when trend is up and short when down?
Any help there will be greatly appreciate it.
I would like to know before I build a strategy that it is worth it.

All trend trading systems work well when the market is trending, and fail abominably when the market is ranging. Moving average systems are usually trend trading systems, and the simple one that you describe is most certainly a trend follower.

Koganam,
I have been actually following that for quite sometime now and see that even when the market consolidates, it works really good the way I attached it. It actually plots white and black hashes under each closed candle. That's what I want to use for entry with a target of 2 pips. am I missing something here?

If you have already validated the system empirically, then all you need to do now is code and test it using Backtest and then Market Replay.

Thank you Koganam. I actually don't want to get into issues and lose money with - apparently - a simple idea . If you can please advise me as of which system, or indicator I should explore, it will be great. I am not hung on a specific thing.
