Market Replay data: NT7 -> NT8

I tried to download some market replay data into NT8 for specific dates that had interesting market action (Tools -> Historical Data -> Load). It worked for some dates, but not for others, and it failed without any indication. (Suggestion for improvement: better notification of what is happening, whether successful or not, and the reason).


I have that data in NT7. Is there a way to export replay data from NT7 and import it into NT8?
I have different sets of data in NT7 and NT8, so I do not want to completely overwrite NT8 data (and lose data that I only have in NT8 but not in NT7), only specific dates that I am missing. Is it doable? How?

Thanks for the post.

I will submit a feature request to add a more verbose error message for failed market replay downloads in NinjaTrader 8. There is not a way to convert NT7 market replay data to NT8 as they have a different structure.

Could you please tell me what instrument and dates you attempted to download, which ones were successful and not successful?

Thanks for the information.
I do not have the exact dates at the moment, but I was trying to download ES 03-18 for early February when the market went nuts (probably around 1-10 of Feb 18). I could download one day (8th or 9th) other dates failed.
I could download anything for ES 06-18.

Playback data is removed after 90 days on the server. So the available data is currently in the second half of February moving forward.
