DrawText Glitch

DrawText has a glitch, as it is impossible to make it align to high and low of the bars on different PCs. With any given setting when it works on one PC, it will not work on another one with a different screen resolution.

This is because the text fields do not correctly align to the high and lows of the bars with an offset zero.

Please see attached textfields generated with the test indicator attached. The outcome is different on different PCs with the same indicator. When I adjust settings to produce symmetrical text fields with the first PC, they will be asymmetrical with the second one.

Impossible to find a setting that works with all PCs. You would need to use different high and low offsets and adjust them for every PC in a different way.

May I confirm you are running 8.0.12.0 on both computers?

Running your script with an offset of 0, I'm seeing the boxes drawn consistently at the highs/lows.

I am running NT 8.0.12.0 on both computers.

Your screenshot is similar to the chart created with my first computer.

However, on my second PC (laptop) the boxes are not drawn at the high/low.

I have been unable to replicate by changing my computers resolution.

Can you replicate the issue on your desktop by switching the resolution to the same of your laptop?

I am unable to replicate the setting from my laptop on my main machine, because the screen of the laptop has a different display aspect ratio.

Screen resolution for my main machine (first PC) is 1920 x 1200.
Screen resolution for my laptop (second PC) is 1920 x 1080.

My main machine displays as the screenshot you have created with your PC.
My laptop produces a different view with the same test indicator.

I do not yet know, whether the issue is linked to the screen resolution.

I have 3 monitors, 2 of which use 1920 x 1200 and a laptop which uses 1920 x 1080, and I am not able to replicate the issue.

Would you please send us your log and trace files for the laptop?
