    NT8 ALWAYS Crashes with 6J

    Hello,

    For the last couple of weeks at least, every time I try to switch over to the 6J contract, NT8 freezes, forcing me to have to crash and restart it.

    I recently switched over to NinjaTrader v8.0.13.1 but the problem still persists.

    Hello i2w8am9ii2,

    Please close all open workspaces and open a new blank workspace.

    (Control Center -> Workspaces -> hover over each workspace and click close)

    Open a new 6J 06-18 1 minute chart and ensure in the top right that Load template only is set to <None>.

    Do not add any indicators to the chart.

    Are you able to reproduce the crashing with this clean workspace and clean chart while all other workspaces are closed?

      Additionally we will want to look at your trace files so we can understand what is going on here. Please send them to platformsupport at ninjatrader dot com and reference this forum post by going to Control Center > Help > Mail To Support and inclue trace and log files checkmark.

        Hi Chelsea,

        Thanks for your reply and for the steps to try.

        When I create a new chart as you suggested, the 6J contract works fine.

        But I am not using Ninjatrader 8 so that I have to be limited to never having the ability to use any indicators. NT8 would be useless to me if that were the case.

        And why only the 6J contract?

        Anyway, I will send you folks my trace files as Brett asked for.

            Hello i2w8am9ii2,

            Thank you for giving this a try. This lets us know the issue may be with a script loading on the chart.

            The next steps would be to identify where the source of the behavior is being triggered.

            The log and trace files will definitely help with identifying any errors that may be appearing which may (or may not) appear with a script name.

            I would like to review these before continuing further.
