Is XAU/USD available in Ninja from Forex?

Guys,

Forex.com support tells me that I should be able to chart and trade spot gold in Ninja using their feed. Is this true? I cannot seem to get a quote.

Hello,

My demo GAIN account was not enabled for live data for this instrument but I was able to get historical data and using the steps below on an account that is enabled for live data. I created the symbol in the instrument manager and added the symbol mapping for GAIN as XAU/USD.

The NinjaTrader Historical Data server does not record this instrument. However the GAIN servers do. To get data from the gain server you will need to change your connection to use the GAIN servers for historical data. Only 24 hours of data will be available with the GAIN connection. You will not be able to get historical data for the instrument when using the NinjaTrader data servers.

To switch to the GAIN servers use the steps below:

• Disconnect
• Tools
• Account Connections
• Select your connection
• Change
• Next
• Historical Data-->GAIN Servers
• Next
• Next Finish
• Reconnect

On my live Forex.com mini account, I cannot pull up quotes for xauusd.

Am I doing something wrong?

In your email please send a screenshot of the settings you are using in the Instrument manager for XAU/USD.

To send a screenshot press Alt + PRINT SCREEN to take a screen shot of the selected window. Then go to Start--> Accessories--> Paint, and press CRTL + V to paste the image. Lastly, save as a jpeg file and send the file as an attachment.
