Fred, any possibility to revise your indicator in order to get such a feature, please?
Paulg; Thanks for the feedback. The design for the indicator was to plot a histogram for all visible or all loaded data. There are several other indicators that do the multiple histogram plots, and I didn't want to replicate them. So unfortunately, I have no near term plans to add the feature you described.

Its not practical to plot the percentage/value on the histogram because it is set to draw each bar only one pixel wide, which is too small for text. Multiple bars would have to be merged if any text were to be added.

True, there is no Buy/Sell volume data available for non-realtime plots.

Unless I have missed something in the menu panel:

would be really nice to have this configurable in time intervals, i.e. every 30 mins, 60 mins, 180 mins etc.

Thanks for writing and sharing this.

Correct, there is no Time interval configuration.
There are other Volume histogram indicators such as DValueArea that have time-segmented histograms. I found the preset time intervals too arbitrary for the type of output I was looking for on a chart, and created the overall histogram to fill this need.

fw: On re-reading the thread I realise this was covered already. My apologies. Thanks in any case for sharing this. Personally I think Volume indicators are the only ones that really add information to a price chart so much appreciated.

What indicator are we talking about here? Thanks.

Is it possible to add a colored value area zone? as seen in dvaluearea indicator. All other VAH and VAL lack of the rolling timeframe feature.

So basically the PriceVolumeHisto with value area for the current seen data.

Sure. Set the 'DataRangeType' parameter to 'VisibleDataOnly', then adjust the 'ThresholdColor' , 'SubThresholdColor', and 'ThresholdPercent' to suit your needs.

                      Fred,

Very nice indicator. One question/request: Is there a simple way to limit the width of the profile plotted, or, limit the profile width to the actual width of the chart's currently displayed window width?

For example, I might load a chart that is 15, 30 or more days back with only the last couple of days displayed in the chart window. However, the volume profile extends all the way back to the beginning of the chart. I'd really like to "scrunch" it up in the right or left side chart margin making it very narrow, or at least limit it's width to a percentage of the chart's displayed window width. This way one could see the entire chart's volume profile all the way back to the "Days Back" setting within only the displayed chart window width (which may only be the last couple of days).

                      A similar indicator -

                        Pepperdog;
That's a good suggestion. Look for the feature in an updated version later this week.

                              Fred,

Fantastic work! Just to confirm, this indicator is averaging the volume across each bar, or is it weighting the bar volume at close?

                              Thanks!
