    overbought/oversold chart indicator?

I'm trying to find several indicators on the Ninja Trader charts, is there a overbought/oversold indicator? or the TICK indicator?
    Thanks..

    Hello sev888,

You can find a list of all supported indicators by default at the link below.

Many custom created indicators can be found in this Support forum as well.

In addition, the TICK is listed as an index instrument. You will be able to plot data for this instrument, if your data feed provider supports it.

        Hello zacharydw00,

The links posted in post #2 were just to the main NinjaScript Indicator and Strategy sharing sections.

        Indicators - http://ninjatrader.com/support/forum...ks.php?catid=4
        Strategies - http://ninjatrader.com/support/forum...ks.php?catid=5

Additionally I did find an example strategy of overbought oversold.
        http://ninjatrader.com/support/forum/showthread.php?t=57696

From what I understand the RSI Avg over the Upper is overbought and the RSI Avg under the Lower is oversold.
With this information you could make any action you like such as coloring the chart, setting off an alert, drawing an object, etc, when one of these conditions happen in a custom indicator.

You can use all normalized oscillators to identify overbought and oversold conditions. Some examples are

          - RSI
          - Stochastics
          - CCI
          - Aroon Oscillator
          - Fisher Transform
          - Inverse Fisher Transform
          - Stochastic RSI
          - Williams %R
          - Connors RSI
          - CFG Momentum Oscillator
          - Derivative Oscillator
          - Directional Trend Index (William Blau)
          - Double Smoothed Stochastics (Walter Bressert)
          - Double Smoothed Stochastics (William Blau)
          - Double Smoothed Momentum (William Blau)
          - DVI (David Varadi)
          - Relative Momentum Index (Roger Altman)
          - Sinewave (John Ehlers)
          - Stochastic Momentum Index
          - Slow RSI
          - Ultimate Oscillator

It would not be difficult to "invent" a few hundred more of those. Please pay attention that oscillators can only be used to identify overbought or oversold conditions, if they are normalized. You can check that by applying the coherency test (developed by William Eckhardt). The C'Test is available as an indicator in the download section of this forum.
