NT 6 has pivot points in its charting.

But only daily, not weekly or monthly. I'd like to be able to put them all on an intraday chart of 5 min or 2 min. I think that NT6 can only put daily pivot levels on the charts unless it is a weekly chart or monthly chart.

          Hi Ben !

Can you please provide us with a link (or explain), how the weekly and monthly pivot point indicator is described ?

weekly := pivots for actual week show lines based on high/low/close of last week
monthly := pivots for actual month show lines based on high/low/close of last month

          Is that right ?

          Thank you,
          Christian

            Hi Chrostian,

            Sorry for the long delay.

By weekly pivots, I mean take the most recent PRIOR week's H, L, and C values to calculate the various pivot point support and resistance line values (S3, S2, S1, PP, R1, R2, R3). These SAME values are plotted on each day during the current week. The chart looks kind of like it has numerous Donchian Channels plotted on it.

For example, today is Friday, June 8; Take the weekly high, low, and close values from the period of May 28-June 1 and calculate the pivot point support and resistance values. These S and R values, from last week, are now plotted each day during this week.

Monthly S & R values are treated in a similar fashion.

            I hope this explanation helps.

            Thanks,
            Ben

              Hi Ben !

              Good news !

The weekly pivots indicator is already implemented in the way you are describing it and will be available with the next release of NinjaTrader 6 appearing in the near future !

              Kind regards,
              Christian

Great news on the weekly/monthly pivot front. By chance, do you know if the way the pivots are calculated is resolved also. See forum thread # 1920 (I believe there is a bug in the way it calculates pivots on the futures and this bug would also appear in the weekly/monthly pivot #'s unless that issue is resolved).

Even if that bug isn't resolved, getting the weekly/monthly pivots is still appreciated.

Do you mean that thread? http://www.ninjatrader-support.com/v...ead.php?t=1920

If so, then no, the next update will not support sessions spanning 2 days nor "per-future" sessions (as Ray pointed out in this thread).
