RTY CQG Free Live Data not working

Thank you for posting in our forum. At this time, the RTY futures instrument is not supported in real time with a CQG demo connection. You will receive historical data for this instrument, but it will not update in real time.

Is there a mechanism to request that CQG switch the Russell contract to the CME in its' demo? The ICE version that they have is a dying instrument with little volume compared to the CME version.

"Thank you for contacting CQG. You will need to contact Ninja Trader for your inquiry."

Thank you for your reply. CQG may have thought you had a platform question, when this is an issue of data enablement. Even if you were using CQGTrader (CQG's platform) with a CQG futures data trial, you would still not have access to real time quotes for RTY.

In other words, this is a limitation of the data feed itself. It is not that NinjaTrader is blocking the RTY data - it is that RTY data is not provided with the CQG futures data trial to begin with. Again, NinjaTrader has no control or influence on what data is included with these trials.

Where is the list of instruments that have real time feed in the CQG futures data trial?

Thank you for your note.

There is no publicly available list of the instruments which receive real-time data when using the futures and forex demos.

The most popular futures and forex instruments receive real-time data, and less popular futures will typically receive at least historical data.

The easiest way to determine this would be to test the instrument in a chart and Time & Sales window during the instrument's regular market hours.

NinjaTrader does not directly control the real-time data enablements of the futures demo. This is managed by the data provider, CQG. Any changes to the real-time data enablements are at CQG's discretion.
