Default Buying power always 0 on Sim account

Hi -

I am using the free version of NinjaTrader hooked to the Continuum demo. I've both edited the Sim101 account and added my own simulated account, both with 1,000,000 in cash.

When I manually (or with a strategy) submit an order for 1 TF 12-17 contract, it is rejected because it exceeds Buying power, and, indeed, the Buying power on both accounts is 0.

I tried disconnecting and reconnecting the Connection, but the Buying power still shows 0, although Cash value shows $1,000,000, Excess intraday margin shows $1,000,000, Excess initial margin shows $1,000,000, etc.

Any suggestions?

I'm running NinjaTrader 8. When I go to Tools->Options, the dialog box that comes up has no tabs.

It has categories of General, Trading, Strategies, Automated trading interface, Market Data
