    Import error

    I had problems with one of my customers when I tried to upgrade my product on his PC this week end.
    I get an import error with the message NinjaTrader already contains ToolBarCl ...
    I had also error messages related to duplicate methods signature ....

    I have installed lots of product upgrades on customers' PC without any problems but here I would really need remote help from your support team.

    My customer is patiently waiting ...

    Hello blar58,

    Likely there is an older version of a script that uses the same class names already imported on the computer.

    Remove the older script first, and the new script should be able to import.

    To remove a third party assembly package in NinjaTrader please:
    • Click Tools -> Remove NinjaScript Assembly...
    • Select the assembly to remove -> click the Remove button

    To remove open source indicators:
    • Click New -> NinjaScript Editor -> select to expand the Indicator folder
    • Right-click the indicator by name -> select Remove

    To remove an open source strategy:
    • Click New -> NinjaScript Editor -> select to expand the Strategies folder
    • Right-click the strategy by name -> select Remove

        Hello!

        At installation on NT8.0.11.1, on Win7 (64-bit), indicator NT8 - NinjaPriceAction, gives out a window with the Error:

        "Import failed. The NinjaScriptArchive File may contain duplicate method names that other scrips were dependent on, or be missing a required file on either your PC or in the import archive".

        Please, help to correct it.

          Thanks for your post.

          Please write into Platform support so that we may assist you with your platform. Please send your log and trace files to PlatformSupport[at]NinjaTrader[dot]Com. Please mark the e-mail Atten:Paul and also include a link to this thread.

          Please follow the steps below to manually attach your log and trace files to your e-mail so I may investigate this matter further.

          Open your NinjaTrader folder under My Documents.
          Right click on the 'log' and 'trace' folders and select Send To> Compressed (zipped) Folder.
          Send the 2 compressed folders as attachments to the email.
          Once complete, you can delete these compressed folders.

          Please do not post log and trace files on the forum.
