    Hello d3xter,

Thank you for your post and welcome to the NinjaTrader Support Forum!

We do not have any examples of this specific function in a script. The needed code for this project would be unsupported in NinjaScript.

There are several examples and discussions on how to do this available for C#. The following link is to a question asked on StackOverflow that should shed some light on this for you: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/1...-displaying-it

      d3xter.

There is an indicator called jtEconNews in the "NT Version 7 Indicators" section which may fit what you are looking for.

                Hi Alan,

Almost all traders are interested in the market reaction on and after the news event to determine a bias. For example, the weekly EIA Petroleum Report on Wednesdays most often will cause the CL to react noticeably if the actual numbers show there is more than 2-Mil change in crude inventory, creating a high probability bias for the trading day. The current version of jtEconNews new does not report the actual numbers.

A couple of suggestions for NT8 version that you may want to consider as you convert this indicator to make it more valuable than just an event reminder

                1. Add an additional last column that will include the Actual number (filled on news availability).

                2. Add at least two rows on top that show the post-news(the last expired two events) so that the traders see the actual numbers and can determine a bias.

Including the post-event actual numbers would be a significant added value to your NT8 version of this indicator.

                Thanks.

                  Hello Aligator,

                  Thank you for your suggestions.

                  I’ve uploaded the indicator here.

Regarding your suggestions, the release number is not available at the web link the indicator uses, so to build the actual figure would require a web address where this data could be parsed from. If you could find a link with the same information as is obtained from the link below, plus the actual number, I could look into adding the release number to the indicator.

Please let us know if you need further assistance.

Thank you for posting the indicator. But I can't install it.
                    I get following error message,

Error: The NinjaScriptArchive File does not contain an Info.xml file or is corrupt. Please check the archive file.

                    Please advise. Thank you.

                        Thanks, Alan P.
                        It works.

But 1 interesting issue, After importing and setup, on Indicators / Configured list this indicator is blank. Please see attached file, red arrow.

                        Thank you.

                          Hello jhdewan,

                          Thank you for your response.

The 'Label' parameter in the Indicators menu when configuring the indicator will need to be set to a name.

Please let me know if you have any questions.
