CliSecure - Decompile

Hello,

I have read several threads on this forum where few people managed to decompile source code secured by CliSecure. Granted it was a while back, and in earlier version of Ninja 7.

I am using latest Ninja 7 version. What is the best way for me to secure the code? Do I need to purchase full CliSecure license? (of course I do not mind doing it if needed).

Thank you for the post.

While I wouldnt be able to comment on decompilation, I can note that the only supported protection method for NT7 would be CLIsecure. This is a product that is external to NinjaTrader so licensing is seperate for their software. This can be used in conjucntion with NinjaTrader to secure C# code. For further information on decompilation or what CLISecure offers, I would suggest reaching out to their support as they will have more details on CLISecure specifically.

For the best security, we do suggest updating to NT8 as a newer version of agile.net can be used to secure your source code.

Thanks for your reply. 2 more questions:

1) It says in documentation that CliSecure license for Ninja 7 is not needed to be purchased, Ninja secured it for all users. Is this still the case, or do I need to buy it?
2) Does the computer that doing the Import of assembly requires CliSecure software to be installed as well?

NT7 is still free, but NT8 this has changed.
