Strategy Builder - Breakout based on time and range

Hi

I am trying to use strategy builder to test the following:

Define range between 7:15am and 8:15am and if the range is between 5 and 20 ticks, then trade is in play and if outside that range, no trade.

If trade is in play, then I need to define the range, for example if NQ high and low during the timeframe was 7040 and 7030 then the range would be 10.
I would then set an order to go long at 7041 with a 10tick TP or short at 7029 with a 10tickTP.

I can not figure out how to use the strategy builder to determine the size of the range.

Any help is much appreciated.

Thanks for your post and welcome to the NinjaTrader Support Forum.

Are you simply trying to compare the value for range to a static value?
Is this value meant to be dynamic and changing for each use of the strategy?

The screenshot is how I would make a condition that checked if the range is greater than or equal to 5.

The value is meant to be dynamic and change each time the strategy is used.

Example, on Monday from 7:15 to 8:15 NQ had a high of 7010 and low of 6990 so the range would equal 20

I am not sure how you would be able to do this since the Strategy Builder is not capable of math. I suggest creating an input in the Strategy Builder that you would be able to set inside the strategies parameters. I am including two links below that will be useful to you in creating your logic.
