NT7 Weekly Chart does not match Weekly chart in TOS platform

Hi, i am trying to match my Ninjatrader to the same chart in TOS (thinkorswim).

When i put a weekly chart in TOS, i dont get the same chart as NT7.

I have tried to adjust the session templates, but the weekly bars dont change at all, no matter how i set the session template.

I have also tried to use minutes bars of 10080 minutes (7x1440) and it looks like it doesnt like it because it only shows 1440 min bars.

I have tried also 7200 min bars. (5 x 1440) and nothing,

Any idea about what i can try?

Post some pictures of both with the security you are trying to compare.

What version of NinjaTrader 7 are you using? Please provide the entire version number. This can be found under Help -> About (Example: 7.0.1000.X)

Are you using TD Ameritrade as your data provider in NinjaTrader? If not, who are are you connected to?

What instrument are you charting?

no, i dont use TD Ameritrade as data provider. I am using Ninjatrade Continuum.

IT happens to all the instruments. I am using ES but i have tried CL or NQ too, and it happens the same.

See 2 pics comparing both charts so that you can see the difference in the bars.

TD Ameritrade sessions are:

- Sunday from 3 pm to Monday 2pm (PST)
- Monday from 3 pm to Tuesday 2pm
- Tuesday from 3 pm to Wednesday 2pm
- Wednesday from 3 pm to Thursday 2pm
- Thursday from 3 pm to Friday 2pm

NinjaTrader Continuum's daily data (which weekly data is built from) is RTH only. Session templates do not effect daily data as the date is only OHLCV values.

NinjaTrader 8 provides ETH daily data when connected to NinjaTrader Continuum, so that would be one solution.

If you want to be able to manipulate the session of your daily/weekly data, you'll need to construct them out of minute bars as you've mentioned. The 1440 bars for daily data should work.

For weekly bars, you'll need to make a custom session template which has one session which goes from Sunday-Friday. Here is an example:

Now i'd like to do the same with the monthly chart...

is there any way i can do it? Do i need to create a different session template for that?

It is not possible to create a custom session template which spans more than one week.

You would need a custom add-on or a data feed which provides ETH daily historical data.

Alternatively, you could use NinjaTrader 8 which would provide ETH daily historical data with a NinjaTrader Continuum connection.
