    NinjaScript export/import function related errors

    Hi,

I am getting errors like this with 6.0.1000.6 after an export

    The namespace 'NinjaTrader.Indicator' already contains a definition for 'IndicatorX';Indicator\IndicatorX.cs;35;18;

I am forced to delete the indicator, because of constant error messages.
    Any way to fix this?

    Thanks

    Hi Rollins,

    1) Please make sure that you don't have any *.cs file under
<NinjaTrader user folder>\bin\Custom\Tmp\Import (and the subfolders).

    2) Did you somehow copy your indicator to an other file ? Make sure that your IndicatorX is defined in the file IndicatorX.cs. If there is a further definition in a second file, please remove that file from the Custom folder and any subfolders.

      Christian,

Thanks for your help, unfortunately all looks fine according to your checklist.

I am going to erase my old NT settings, start from scratch, will only export indicators via zip archives manually.

      Cheers

        Hi Rollins,

        can you please:
        - open your indicatorX in the NinjaTrader editor
        - press F5 to compile the custom dll
        - if there are errors, please widen the editor window and make a screenshot, and send this screenshot to christian AT ninjatrader DOT com ?

        Thank you,
        Christian

          Chrisitan,
I am getting erros on every custom indicator now, the message is always the same one as posted before except for the Indicator name.
          No other error message.

I'll skip making the screenshot, it won't give you any new info

          Cheers

            Hi Rollins,

I can't reproduce your problem here at least without further information. Is it possible to zip the whole content of your Custom folder (including all subfolders), and send it to christian AT ninjatrader DOT com ?

Please delete any files only with the extension *.dll from the Custom\Tmp-folder before.

            Thanks,
            Christian

Too late already emptied the tmp folder, why would it be called tmp otherwise?

Resolved, thanks to Chrstian. Don't leave cs files in your export folder.
