In order to even place a concurrent pending short and a long on the same chart, it must be set to Keep... If both orders fill, the entries are not displayed at all, only the stops and targets. If one reaches its target, an entry reappears, but at the level of the filled target of the closed order, not at the entry level of the remaining order. Why would anyone want this functionality? I would put this in the bug category.
If I set the mode to either Display... or Select..., I cannot enter opposing pending orders on the same chart. I must open a second chart ChartTrader (or DOM), one for longs and one for shorts.
If both modes are set to either Display... or Select..., and the pending long fills, then the pending short fills, the long is closed at a loss and the short is cancelled, but the long's stoploss remains pending. Who would want this functionality? I would also put this in the bug category.
If both modes are set to either Display... or Select..., and two orders are filled in the same direction (both longs or both shorts), the entry level is not even the average of the two but some other value between the two entries. Also, the stops and targets are merged at some seemingly arbitrary level. Very confusing, making multiple entries nearly impossible to manage.
I want to be able to be in a short and a long concurrently (or two longs or two shorts) with each entry segregated and each of the respective targets and stops also segregated, with each target fill or stop fill not affecting the other order, as if each of the trades were placed by individual traders. Will this be possible in NT7?
