Chart from IB data feed for Nifty future

Hi ,

I tried to connect to IB TWS and NT7. I was able to see to the trade taken. How can set up the instrument to open a new chart. The chart image is from the trade window , where I right click to see the chart. But I guess I have to setup something in the instrument manager.

Please provide more information.

Are you asking how to open a chart?

Click File -> New -> Chart
In the upper left corner type NIFTY 05-18 -> click the New button -> click OK

When we connect to a data feed we import instruments and then create the charts. For IB what needs to be done to create the charts ?

If the instrument is set up, use the steps from my previous post to open a new chart.

The NIFTY future is pre-configured in the NinjaTrader Instruments window when you download and install NinjaTrader.

Yes Nifty Futures instrument is already there. So once connected to TWS then Can I load the Nifty instrument in chart ? Do I need to map the instrument name in IB and Nifty Futures ?

If you have a subscription to receive real-time data for the NIFTY future with Interactive Brokers, and NinjaTrader is connected to TraderWorkstation, yes, you can open a chart.

Hi... I am able to load up the chart of pre-configured Nifty Futures with NT8. However, start time of the day is incorrect.... the very first for the day open should be at 09:15 AM whereas currently it shows as 09:30 AM.

Could you please look into it.
