bar timer ( bar count down)

A nice feature too would be a bar countdown.

example: 20 seconds before the close of every 5 min bar , a prealert sounds to warn you that the bar will close. and maybe an alarm option when the actual bar closes too.

I have that feature on Tradestation and it's great. + it also shows the actual time left before the bar close next to the bar.

Is there an indicator that will do this ? Either sound an alarm at the close of a bar or at a preset interval before the bar close.

A beep at the close of a 5 minute bar would be helpful to me.

Thank you for your post.

This is possible in NinjaTrader 7 with the use of the BarTimer indicator. However, you would need to make some alterations to the indicator itself. I have created a BarTimerAlert indicator to serve this purpose for alerting a number of seconds before the bar close (max 59 seconds). You can find this indicator attached to this post.

To import the attached indicator:

1. From the Control Center window select the menu File > Utilities > Import NinjaScript to open the Import NinjaScript dialog window
2. Select the file you want to import
3. Press the "Open" button

I guess I'm not very computer literate. I can not open the Bartimeralert.zip file. When I save or try to open the file it has a .PHP extension which I can then do nothing with.

When I try to open through Ninja; File / Utilities etc Ninja seems to only look for Ninjascript archive type files.

Any help appreciated .

Please download the attache d.cs file and place it into the following directory on your PC: (My) Documents\NinjaTrader 7\bin\Custom\Indicator > then go to the NinjaTrader Control Center > Tools > Edit NinjaScript > Indicator > select the BarTimerAlert > OK > when the NinjaScript editor fully loads please press F5 on your PC to compile.

You should now have access to the BarTimerAlert indicator. Please let me know if you have any questions.

Hi Patrick

When I download the file it saves on my computer as a file named "Attachment" with Type of file as PHP File. I copied the file to the Ninja directory you requested which has all CS type files.

When I click on the "Attachment "file and click OK I get an Unable to open file error message.

Am I not downloading the file properly ?
