How do you load Canadian stock symbols in NT8?

Does anyone know what you have to write out to load Canadian stock symbols?

I know how to load stock symbols, select the correct exchange/currency and do the symbol mapping, what I don't is how the symbol is written. If I remember correctly with NT7 it was C.symbol, but the C. doesn't work with NT8.

I've tried putting the C after the symbol and I've tried using an _ instead of a .
    I've also tried using CA.

I've googled it but can't find the answer.

    Hello Josh Bruni,

Thank you for your post and welcome to the NinjaTrader Support Forum!

Who do you connect to for your data for Canadian Stocks?

What stocks are you attempting to load?

I look forward to your response.

      Hi Patrick,
I use Kinetick for my data and right now I would like to be able to load ANY canadian stock symbol.
If I have to pick one for example's sake lets go with Crew Energy, ticker CR on the TSX.

        Hello Josh Bruni,

        Thank you for your response.

I can get CR to work in 7 as well but not 8. I can get ETFs to work though. I will forward this to our development team and follow up with you when I have details on this matter.

          ok

Thanks for looking into it, but can you please tell me what suffix I use when trying to pull up a Canadian stock symbol?
I want to be able to pull up more than just Crew Energy and don't want to be guessing. And I can't find the answer online.
Before the ticker symbol, do I write C. or CA. or C: or C_ or ????????
Or do I put it after the ticker?

            Hello Josh Bruni,

            Thank you for your response.

It should be C. in the Symbol Mapping. The name of the symbol can be anything you want. You just need to ensure the proper Symbol Mapping is used.

I will follow up when I have further information.

Thanks, I've tried that but I am still unable to pull up any Canadian stock symbols. Do you guys have a tutorial on youtube covering this yet? I know you have it for NT7 but in NT8 it's not working.

                Hello Josh Bruni,

                Thank you for your response.

Are you referring to the Yahoo video for setting up Stocks?

I look forward to your response.

Specifically, you are referring to the video at the following link, correct?

Yes I am referring to that video but I stopped watching it when I realized that it was for NT7. Does it cover things that are relevant to NT8?

                      Hello Josh Bruni,

                      Thank you for your response.

We do not have a version of that video for NinjaTrader 8. To be clear the Canadian stock not working in NinjaTrader 8 with Kinetick has been sent to our development team. You are not doing anything incorrectly.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks that helps. I also tried to pull up Just Energy (JE) and it didn't work either. I could pull up the US version (on the NYSE) but not the Canadian version on the TSX.

                          Hello Josh Bruni,

                          Thank you for your patience.

To get the Canadian Stocks from Kinetick you would not use the 'C. in the symbol mapping. So for Crew Energy you would use 'CR' along as the Symbol Mapping.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

Can't get Canadian Stocks to Load

I've tried loading Canadian stocks like ALA, CAE (US stock keeps popping up, even though I've selected TSX exhange, etc), and PWF, but can't get any charts to open on them (using Kinetick end of day data). Has any had any similar problems, and if so, how did you solve them. Thank You in advance.
