    Changing grid from code

    Is there any way I can set the grid lines on a chart from code?

    For example, I'd like to be able to make a small indicator that sets my grid lines to something useful for the instrument that is being loaded e.g.

    Forex - Fixed 10 Pips
    ES, NQ - Fixed 1 Point
    CL, NG - Fixed 10 Ticks

    Thanks in advance for your support.

    Hello frantic,

    Thanks for your post.

    You can change these properties but please note the helpguide warning: "These are UI properties which are designed to be set by a user. Attempting to modify these values through a custom script is NOT guaranteed to take effect."

    Reference: https://ninjatrader.com/support/help...properties.htm

    Here is an example of setting the horizontal grid lines to 10 tick intervals:

    Code:
    protected override void OnRender(ChartControl chartControl, ChartScale chartScale)
    		{
    		   	chartScale.Properties.HorizontalGridlinesCalculation =  YAxisRangeType.Fixed;
    			chartScale.Properties.HorizontalGridlinesIntervalType = HorizontalGridlinesIntervalType.Ticks;
    			chartScale.Properties.HorizontalGridlinesInterval = 10.0;
    		}
