    Simulated Stop Orders

    Hi there,

Is there any working example or documentation about custom orders and the creation of simulated stop orders available?
It seems that NinjaTrader.Cbi.CustomOrder is the key to these orders...

    Thanks in advance!

    Hello Ruppschtaler,

    Thank you for your note.

The following page of our helpguide covers simulated stop orders in NT7,

The following is a link to the SetTrailStop and SetStopLoss section of our helpguide which you can use a syntax accepting true or false for whether or not the stop is simulated, see the following two links,

Please let us know if you need further assistance.

By way of reviving this lonely topic; just exactly what is the usage of
      a NinjaTrader.Cbi.CustomOrder in NT8 ?

        Hello hyperscalper,

CustomOrder is used for some under-the-hood ATM strategy handling. This is going to contain a list of properties for an ATM order. This is kept undocumented/unsupported and is not documented for public use.

In general this is null for <account>.CreateOrder().

Th;anks for the info; but you realize it doesn't help at all in understanding
the context in which such a parameter might be used...
You should change the documentation to reflect that it ain't
anything we "mere mortals" can expect to use

            Hello hyperscalper,

It would not be used. It is not documented as it is not intended to be used by NinjaScript developers.

The documentation does show supplying a null value for this parameter, which what you should do.
