Add price markers to y-axis

Is it possible to somehow make my custom indicator add price markers to the chart panel's y-axis?

The indicator is custom-rendering and does not add any standard plots. All the same, I'd like to be able to make some price markers appear on the y-axis.

Thank you for your post.

The Pivots indicators uses custom plotting in OnRender as well and adds plots for the Price Markers as well. Essentially this is the only way to get the Price Markers in NinjaScript.

Price Markers without need for Plot

Hi, I'm wondering if there's any plans to address this feature in the near term, the workaround unfortunately has some setbacks in terms of you have to pre-allocate an arbitrary number of plots (wasting memory) for as many price markers as you may need in the future.

If we could add arbitrary price markers either to the IndicatorRenderBase, StrategyRenderBase or even DrawingTool classes that would go a long way to help us!

I want to add that not having price markers directly supported also makes writing interactive tools that need a price marker to update on mouse move impossible; any insight as to whether this is being looked at would be appreciated.

If you refer to the sample I provided (attached here again) then you need to set the 'Dummy[0]' to a price level relevant to your instrument.

Feature Enhancement: Price Markers via Transparent PlotStyle

Wouldn't the simplest, cleanest and most easily supported way to do this be to simply add an extra PlotStyle of "Transparent" (or "Invisible" or "Empty" or "None" or whatever)?

Because a plot adds a Price Marker, making the actual plot (not the added Price Marker) "invisible" should achieve all requirements, I believe. This results in a very simple way to generate what appears to be just a Price Marker.

It also has the immediate added benefit of making it possible to program settable options for the display or not of a plot associated with a Price Marker by choosing the visible style or Transparent. And, of course, one could very easily generate as many "Price Markers" as one wanted wherever one wanted!
