Debug Strategy in Visual Studio

Hello,

I have been debugging indicators for a long time with no issues in Visual Studio (open indicator file, compile in debug mode, attach Ninja.dll and etc).

Now I need to debug a strategy that runs in Replay mode. When I set a break point and it is hit, I end up in termination error. All runs fine without Debugger.

Is there anything different/special I need to do to debug a strategy, running via Replay, vs indicator in visual studio?

Thank you for your post.

There should be nothing special you need to do in the case of Market Replay and Debugging in Visual Studio.

Can you send us your log and trace files so we may investigate the error further?

You can do this by going to the Control Center-> Help-> Mail to Platform Support. Ensuring 'Log and Trace Files' is checked will include these files. This is checked by default.

Hi Patrick,

Just to clarify what I am doing:
1) Open visual studio and then attach Ninja process
2) Open Strategy in Ninja and compile in debug mode
3) Open strategy in Visual Studio and set a break point
4) Start running strategy in Replay mode

All steps are there?
