"Loading Data" takes tooooooo long!

If "loading data" is synonymous to "backfill", why does NinjaTrader take nearly 5 minutes to load the data for ESU9 whereas QuoteTracker takes only 10 seconds? They both get their data from Interactive Brokers. (Perhaps I need to clear the data cache?)

Can you check the Control Center --> log tab? From here do you see any error messages regarding 'max amount of historical data'?

Hi,

No error message as far as I can tell and it appears that there's no problem connecting to the IB data server.

Yes, I am using their latest standalone: TWS 88 (Jul 17 2008).

I am using the supportet version of TWS and have the same Problem. Sometimes its ok, sometimes it's like eternity. No problems in log. Running most of the time only TWS, IB and Firefox on that computer. Restart doesn't help. And it happens always when I have no time left...
