Close price of heiken ashi bars

Hi,

I trade with Heiken Ashi bars, and I know the formula and how they work. What I like to know, if there is some indicator or way to know the exactly price of the close of the current bar, in ordet to entry in the beggining of the new bar.

Thanks for your post.

In NinjaTrader7, Heiken-Ashi is an indicator that changes the bar display. You can still use the price types to access the underlying bar data, IE: Close[0].

I don´t know exactly what I have to do in order to see the exactly price of the close of the current bar, what you mean with ypur response?

Thanks for your reply.

I misunderstood your question and now understand that you want to visually see the actual underlying bar close on the chart.

I've attached a screenshot of a way to accomplish this. You can use a 1 period SMA and set the plot style to "hash" and use a color that is easy to see in both the red/green candles (I used royal blue). The screenshot includes the SMA settings so you can replicate.

Ok, many thanks. That helps me, but what I really want to know, is during the construction of the current bar, if there is a way that shows where ara the limits of tha bar in construction, the possible down of the bar and the possible top of the bar, I vahe seen this indicator in other type of bars, many thanks for your help.

I am unaware of any indicator that can provide the predicted high low and close of the currently forming bar with the Heiken-Ashi indicator applied.

Close[0] gets changed to Default input[0] in the Condition Group Editor. Is this normal? I'm not sure what Default input [0] means.

I suspect you are asking about the strategy builder condition builder which is in NinjaTrader8. Please note that this is a NinjaTrader7 thread. For any further questions related to NinjaTrader8 please create a new thread in the NinjaTrader 8 strategy forum.

To answer your question based on NinjaTrader8, yes defaultinput[0] is expected and it is the same as Close[0].
