however I don't want it executed until after initial loading is completed. I mean after indicator is loaded, I want to run it in onbarupdate... I just don't want to run it in onbarupdate while all historical data is being loaded.
Sort of like I want to turn my indicator on after all historical data has been loaded. e.g.
if (loaded) {
payload...
}
so how can I check that indicator has been loaded?
there are many uses for this, but here is just an example:
let's say you want to send an email alert when a condition is hit...
obviously you don't want to get hundreds of emails every time you load or connect to ninjatrader based on historical data... you just want it to start working from the present (load) time forward.
I guess I could save the time in initialize method... and then check that the date time of the bar is > that time.
is that the best way to do it?
