Crude Oil Historical Data look back

Hello,

I would like to look back on a Monthly , Weekly, Daily charts for crude oil. But unfortunately, it only looks back to 2009. How can download market data that looks back farther from 2009?

Thanks for writing in.

Data providers will hold on to certain types of data for longer periods of time than others. For your NinjaTrader Continuum/CQG connection:
* Tick data is deleted after 366 days
* Minute data is virtually never deleted, and goes back to 2006
* Daily data is virtually never deleted, and goes back to 2009
* Up to 90 days worth of Market Replay data can be reliably retrieved from our severs, sometimes more

If you are trying to download historical data and are restricted in the way you described, this is to be expected.

Why would you say these are virtually never deleted when everything prior to 2009 is deleted?
I think its pretty ridiculous that the Data providers/Ninja trader/ Rithmic can only look to 2009. Other software with much less features and trading power have the ability to look back decades.
