    Trouble when connecting to IB

    Since I added live trading, I've been having trouble with NT v 6.5.0.10 My charts load correctly, but when I connect to IB, pressing f5 doesn't do anything, the icons on the chart tool bar don't work, and the program seems very slow (e.g. the crosshairs move very slowly and jumpy, charts open very slowly, etc). I have not been able to trade live yet because of the problems.

    If I close the program (I get several error "dings") and re-start, the workspace sometimes doesn't show up on the screen or in the menu—and other times it opens each chart twice.

    Everything worked fine until I paid to go live. Any ideas?

    Did you copy your NT6.0 workspace over to NT6.5 directly with the files? If so I recommend to just try deleting those workspaces and create them in NT6.5 from new.

      To delete the workspaces you can delete the contents of the folder

      My Documents\NinjaTrader 6.5\workspaces before restarting. If the issues persist please let us know.

        I did not have the latest IB update installed. Now everything seems to work—I'll let you know. Thanks.

          The charts opened, but the movement within the charts are very slow— the cross hair moves very jerky, changing stops and limits same. Difficult to draw lines. As stated before, this is happening just since going live, and entering a trade is very slow too.

            Live or simulation will not make a difference, coincidental.

            - If you have not done so already, please ensure that you have deleted the workspace files

              Ray, one of my imported indicators (which I have used for a long time) may have become corrupted when I updated NT or something, because it seems to be the cause of the trouble. Thanks for your help, I'm continuing to investigate.

                Ray, that's what it was. I removed the old indicator and re-imported it, and now everything is working fine. Thanks for your help.
