best way to hide pending order

    Hi,

I have a question about a way to hide my pending order so that no one can see it until it is executed.

I know that stop limit order with negative offset will be placed on my pc(simulated order) so that no one know where I place my orders until it reaches the stop price....

Does the stop limit order with 0 or positive offset work like a simulated order as well?

For example, the current price of ES is at 2901 and I want to buy at 2902 and make sure nobody sees my pending order at 2902....

What is the best way to place my hidden pending order other than using negative offset?

    Thanks for your support.

    Hello jjanguda,

    Thank you for your post.

Glad to assist. MIT - Market if Touch orders may be used to hide from the market in this manner. See the below, publicly available blog post from our website for more details on using MIT orders.

    https://ninjatrader.com/blog/hide-or...ed-orders-mit/

Via chart trader, MIT will list as an order type in the right click chart menu, or via the SuperDOM hold CTRL + Left click at the price on the buy or sell columns.

Let us know if we may assist further.

      Thanks for your reply.

Are you saying that I can place buy MIT above the current price?

When I try to place my pending buy order above the current price, I have only buy market and buy stop limit. I can place Buy MIT below the current market.

Based on the example I used in my previous post, I'm trying catch the breakout trade with a hidden order.... buy stop limit with negative offset would do the job but I would miss it if the market continues to go higher without a pullback to my buy limit price..

        Thank you for your reply.

Yes, MIT orders should be able to be placed above the current price.

What version of NinjaTrader are you using? Please provide the entire version number. This can be found under Help -> About (Example: 8.0.X.X)

What order entry window is in use?

            Thank you for your reply.

MIT should generally be available along with the Limit and Stop orders - Because an older version of NinjaTrader 8 is in use, can you shutdown and update with the link below?
