    Prior OHLC indicator settings

I have futures charts that I have the data series set for Default 24/7 so I can see the entire 24 hour period. However, when I implement the PriorOHLC indicator, it measures based on the 24 hour day.

Is there a way to set the PriorOHLC indicator so that I can see the OHLC for the previous futures session or another session like the RTH equities US and still be able to see the entire 24 hour chart?

    Thanks.

Hello billr, unfortunately that's not possible with this indicator, it would pick the OHLC values from the applied sessions on the chart. This could be created though via custom programming in our NinjaScript.

Specifically what setting is off and how do you know it is off? What setting are you currently using and how is your data feed provider?

            Hello,

What version of NinjaTrader are you using? You can check under Help -> About
Who are you connected to? This is displayed by green on lower left corner of the Control Center window.
            What instrument have you selected?
Is there an error message listed in the Log tab of the Control Center?
What data provider(s) do the other users you mentioned use with the software?

laredo78676, do you both use the same timeframe / bars type and also the same session template when creating the chart? This would determine which session hours are used - if those differ then it could explain what you saw.

This will entirely depend on your needs -

                    a) if you select an ETH session template > it would include the overnight / electronic hours in the data
                    b) if you select an RTH session template for example, it would only consider the cash / regular session hours

This would of course influcene the levels you generate with Current / Prior Day OHL(C).

That would mean you're using all available data (either 24 hrs for the full week [24/7], or 24 hrs for the business week [24/5]).

Correct, that would be your choice then based on the session template you build your chart with.

                              Hi

When is the trading day said to start and end i.e when are open and close calculated? In GMT would be useful.

Does PriorOHLC depend on the bar time size? And does the PriorOHLC take into account daylight saving?

                              Thanks
