"Set default" for ChartTrader - Does it work???

Hi all.

I've been using a certain strategy to place orders.

Now I want to use NT's ChartTrader.

I went in the Properties, set all kinds of parameters to my liking (colors, etc.), chose "Set default".

Went to one of my regular workspaces, with a few charts. Activated CharTrader.

But it does NOT have my defaults! It still shows the original NT colors, etc.

Created a new chart (in the same workspace), and this does show my defaults!

Please tell me that I'm doing something wrong and that I will NOT have to recreate all my existing charts... On a fairly regular basis, I am using about 15-20 charts spread in about 3-4 workspaces...

Hello M_ichel,

This is the expected behavior.

When setting defaults, this will set the defaults for a new chart but will not override any settings for existing charts.

You can, however, save these settings in a Chart Template and apply the Chart Template to a new chart.

Reset Chart Trader

Experiencing issues with Chart Trader. Fairly experienced with same. Uninstall didn't help. Can Chart Trader be re-set eliminating all previous settings?

Hello steveg,

To reset default settings for Chart Trader:

• Right-click the Chart Trader area -> select Chart Trader Properties
• Click Reset -> click Set Default -> click OK
