Version 8 "SampleCustomPlot" Indicator

I was going to set up a new strategy in Ninja 8 but I received an error before I could start. It finds an error in the "SampleCustomPlot" Indicator tat comes with the program. I have not edited this, nor will it allow me to edit it. When I try to compile I get errors on lines 43 & 44 like can be seen here. https://www.screencast.com/t/KMsa8znXSzFZ

Any ideas as to why I am seeing this error? Thanks!

Hello Dolafan,

Thank you for writing in.

Please close down NinjaTrader, open a file explorer and go to My Documents>NinjaTrader 8>bin>Custom>Indicators and right on SampleCustomPlot>Delete.

Then install the most recent version of NT8 at the link below,

http://ninjatrader.com/bin/BVD

Not to be argumentative but I am already using the latest 8.0.4.0. Why do I need to reinstall?

Deleting the indicator and reinstalling will replace the problem indicator and thus resolve the error you are seeing.

Alan, when I go to reinstall, the only options available are to Repair or Remove Ninja from my system. I chose to Repair but the strategy is not there. What now?

Ouch! That means I am going to lose all of my Workspaces, Strategies, etc., right?

No, workspaces and strategies are saved in the my documents ninjatrader folder and are unaffected by the reinstall.

OK, so I reinstalled, then restarted my computer. The indicator is no longer visible anywhere but my trash bin. Should I be concerned?

The @SampleCustomPlot.cs indicator has not been around since RC2. The current version is @SampleCustomRender.cs
