Exclamation NinjaTrader 8 Moving Average Identification - Color Code

Can anyone make it so that at the top of my charts, where it states which moving averages I have on the chart - each moving average is written in the color that it is drawn on in the chart.

I have attached an image from eSignal as an example.

It gets confusing when I am running lots of different ones.

If anyone knows if this is already possible, or can develop it - please let me know!

Hello Pete Collins,

Thanks for your post.

One way that you can do this today, without color, is to set the label to reflect both the period and the color name. Please see the attached example. You can do this by editing the label in the indicator parameters and enclosing it in quotes. For example the EMA(20) that is orange colored is labeled as "EMA20 - Orange" which you can see in the attached example (PeteC-1).

Another way to see the indicator colors is to use either the Data box display (see attached PeteC-2) or the "mini data box display as both of these will show the colors associated with each moving average. To see the minidatabox, center mouse wheel click and hold on the chart.

I am unaware of any colored label indicator that has already been created but perhaps the community members may wish to tackle this.

Thanks Paul - I can try that for the time being. It would be great if anyone here would develop that - I don't think it would be that difficult?!
