Request: Auto Connect on Startup and auto restart when connection down

I didn't find any way to enable auto connect on startup in NT.
As patsystem accounts need a complete shutdown of NT it is really necessary an "auto restart on connection lost" + "auto connect on startup" feature . If someone isn't in front of his pc he could lose a lot of money....

This is currently not supported however, you likely could use some external program to automate shut down and restart.

As it's a very basic feature request and many platforms have this as the essential element of not only UI but THE functionality.

Implementing wouldn't be hard or long on time, e.g. as a feature linked to current workspace and/or global option for last active connection. It will greatly enhance NT automation.

Besides, do we have an option to connect programmatically from inside a strategy that would be loaded at startup in the same way as connection, maybe that would be another feature request??

You mean that we have to stay in front of our pc checking if it disconnects from broker for other 9 months?
Can't you push it in front of priorities (together with vista 64 fix....)

There never was a need for.

May be there is a misunderstanding: NT would reconnect as there is a temporary loss of connection while connected (internet goes down or such). Always did since day 1.

However, as you manually disconnect you then have to manually reconnect again and NT would not reconnect automatically as you e.g. restart NT.

It doesn't work that way here.
With a patsystem RCG account about once a day or more NT disconnects and DOES NOT RECONNECT.
If i try to reconnect manually it says i have to restart it.
Internet never goes down here so it's an internal problem, and i have to check every 30 minutes that it is online....

NT likely can not reconnect after the broker recycles their server. That is a special situation that can't be overcome without a manual disconnect and reconnect.

Come on guys, when NT detects such an event can shut down himself and restart. With auto connect on start then it solves the problem.
A lot of programs shut down and restart automatically, usually after updates so i suppose it's not difficult to do.....
