    Unsupported Instrument

In beta 10, I receive the error "NT data server does not support this instrument..." (see attachment).
I have a Zen Fire and IB connection. I do not receive this error with IB, I only receive it with my Zen Fire connection. If I have Zen Fire as my first connection and IB as second, I still receive the error. I have to disconnect Zen Fire to have it work with IB.

All my other instruments work fine with Zen Fire, just "ZN 06-08 ECbot" is a problem.

Please go to Tools > Options > Misc > Reset Instruments.
    Then restart NT
Then go to the instrument manager and remove ZN 06-08 and add it back again to the Default list.

    This should clear it up.

Thanks Ray for the very fast response, it fixed my problem.
I don't know if this is a side effect from the "reset", or maybe something else as my Zen Fire connection is a new addition to my trading. Now I don't receive data for my SPI instrument.
I have Zen Fire as first connection with IB as second. My Zen Fire does not support Australian markets, therefore I have the IB connection as second connection for SPI (Australian). Shouldn't NT get the SPI data from IB (second connection), as Zen Fire (first) does not support SPI? The log has the following message, "Instrument 'SPI 06-08' not supported".

Again, I can get SPI data when I only have IB connected by itself.

      Many thanks.

That is expected and has always been the case. NT checks if Zen can support futures (which it does) and then routes all market data request for any futures instrument type to this connection. Since SPI is not suppoted there, you then have the problem.

Ok, so how do I trade both the US and Australian markets? Not all brokers support all markets/instruments. Is this not a common problem?

If IB is backup data feed to Zen, is there no way to get it to supply the data that Zen is missing?

No this is not a common problem. The only way around is to connect to IB first, then Zen second.

Does Zen need to be set as IB's Backup Data Feed, or is it just the second connection?

Try it as a second connection.
