Instrument Type CryptoCurrency

Hello,

I have noticed a new Instrument type called CryptoCurrency available in Ninjatrader 8.

Just wondering if there is any special support for this type e.g. in the VOL indicator I have noticed this line

Instrument.MasterInstrument.InstrumentType == InstrumentType.CryptoCurrency ? Core.Globals.ToCryptocurrencyVolume((long)Volume[0]) : Volume[0];

1. Why is the volume typed into long for CryptoCurrency type?

Volume in general is a long so that large values can be held.

However, I'm looking further into Core.Globals.ToCryptocurrencyVolume().

Could you also check in general if there is some special treatment for an instrument of type CryptoCurrency at other places too?

I found this piece of code by accident and I was looking for more information on "CryptoCurrency" instrument, but was not able to find anything (even in the documentation).

Hello svitaz,

The Core.Globals.ToCryptocurrencyVolume() is necessary because Cryptocurrency uses fractional volumes.

Any indicators included with NinjaTrader that use volume will have this conversion call.

I'm not finding there is any other considerations for Cryptocurrency at this time, but I find others I will post in this thread.
