    Crosshair on chart

    Hi

I find the crosshair in NT8 not good - for one, the local, global, and global (no time scroll) all appear to be exactly the same, but I digress....

I have to use the local crosshair sometimes but it's so bold that is really gets in the way and is distracting.

A far better and more elegant solution would be to do what tradingview.com do, and have a very faint, thin, dashed line crosshair that is always on if wanted. That way it's always to hand and useful, without being overbearing and annoying like the NT8 crosshair.

    Image attached.

    Thanks.

    Post an image

And what is your setup? System, video card, monitor.

All 3 options would appear the same on 1 chart.

    Local is that chart only

    Global is all charts global

      Hi

I've posted a photo of a good example from tradingview as we all have NT8 so know what the default crosshair looks like.

Well I turned on global just now on one chart and moved my mouse pointer to the charts on my other monitor and they are still just showing the arrow, so.......... how is it global?

      Thanks.

        Hello Irukandji,

        Thank you for your post.

Glad to assist. In order for the global cross hair to be shown in the second monitor's charts, the second chart must also have the cursor toolbar option set to global. Once complete, the cross hair should be shown on both charts.

You may custom set the cross hair color and line style to dash in the chart > right click > Properties > Lines > Crosshair

See the below section of our help guide for more on cross hair settings.

Please let us know if we may be of further assistance.
