Capture Optimizer Run Time?

Hi NT and community,

Does anyone know how to capture the run time of an optimization when it's finished?

During a run, the elapsed and remaining times are displayed. But when the run is finished, this information goes away. I'd like to spin up runs with different optimizer settings and compare the completed run times.

There is not a documented way of getting the elapsed time of an optimization iteration from a Optimizer or Optimization script. I'm also not aware of an undocumented way to achieve this

You might try using a timer that is started in State.DataLoaded and save the time to a static list in a custom namespace when State is State.Terminated. I'm not certain if this would work.

This thread will remain open for any community members that may know of undocumented way of coding this.

I am also happy to submit a feature request on your behalf to the NinjaTrader Development to provide a documented way of accessing the elapsed time of a optimization iteration.
