Searching for Instruments

NinjaTrader is installed with a database of the most commonly supported instruments that you can search through.

 

Searching Instruments

To search for an instrument within the database:

 

1. From the Instrument Manager, select an available instrument type using the Type drop down menu.

2. Enter any search parameters in either the Name or Description fields.

3. Left mouse click on the Search button. All instruments that match the search parameters will appear in the instrument data field.

 

The image below displays the results of searching for any Futures beginning with the letter "E" as inputted in the Name search field.

You can double left mouse click on any search result to bring up the Instrument Editor window for the selected instrument. Please see the Editing Instruments page for more information on how to edit instruments.
