Tick-Data from Ninjatrader7 to NinjaTrader 8

Hello,

how can i import tick-data from NinjaTrader 7 to NinjaTrader 8
NinjaTrader 7 tick data format is: ntd and NinjaTrader 8 tick data format is ncd.

Thank you for your post,

When NinjaTrader 8 is first launched on a PC with NinjaTrader 7 installed, a Migration process will prompt that will allow historical data to be moved over. This would be the best method to get the historical data moved to NinjaTrader 8.

To get the migration process to run again, shut down NinjaTrader 8 and rename the Documents > NinjaTrader 8 > "config" file as "config.old" and restart. See the below link for more on the migration process.

Outside of this option, the data would need to be manually imported via Tools > Historical Data Manager > Load tab. Regarding the format, the the format of tick data is the same in both 7 and 8, yyyyMMdd HHmmss;price;volume. See the below section of our help guide for more information.
